X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has said that Beyonce Knowles has made her realise how hard she will have to work to achieve her dreams of international success.

The 20-year-old wrote on her official blog that she had been inspired by her recent visit to see the pop superstar perform in London.

She said: I went to Beyonce’s concert, she was playing at the O2 and she was out of this world.

“She made me realise how hard I want to work to achieve my dreams. She is such an inspiration.”

She added: “I saw her backstage before the show and I introduced her to my Mum. Well, let’s just say it wasn’t me crying this time!”

Alex said that she is still having to do some work on her debut album for Simon Cowell’s SyCo label.

She said: “I’ve been working with the most amazing producers while I’ve been in London and I’m so happy, the songs are sounding so cool. I can’t wait for you all to hear the goodies.

“I also went back to NY for a couple of days, the weather was not that great but it was cool being back in the studio with the amazing Stargate!”

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks and I wanted to fill you all in! grin

Here are some tabloid rumours which should be taken as rumours until we get any confirmation. Alexandra Burke has reportedly set aside £50,000 for a welcome home party when she returns to Britain in August.

The X Factor winner is currently recording her debut album in Los Angeles but is expected to celebrate her 21st birthday with friends and family in London.

“Alex hasn’t been home for months after working on her album, which is due in the autumn,” a source told The Sun.

“Her family can’t wait for her to get back and want to celebrate with the mother of all parties.”

According to reports, Burke has already given part of the money to her mother Melissa, a former singer with Soul II Soul, to redecorate her North London home.

The ‘Hallelujah’ star’s debut album is expected to include songs produced by Timbaland, Red One, Stargate and Jay-Z.

Amy Winehouse may be in St Lucia - but it didn’t stop her giving Alexandra Burke a tongue-lashing thousands of miles away in London.

The X Factor winner, 20, hoped to hear some of Wino’s 13-year-old prodigy and goddaughter Dionne Bromfield’s tracks from her upcoming album at her studio.

But a pal reveals: “Alex was only taking an interest. But when Dionne called Amy to check it was OK she went mad.

“Amy started ranting saying there was no way Alex could hear her new material.

“She told Dionne if artists listen to it they may try to mimic it - basically accusing Alex of wanting to copy her.”

Our source adds: “Alex kind of understood where Amy was coming from, but she found it insulting that she’d steal ideas from a 13-year-old.”

Alexandra’s new material should be releasing soon?

Alexandra Burke has reportedly started feeling homesick as she records her debut album in the United States.

The X Factor winner is said to have asked her sister Shaniece to join her in Los Angeles to help combat her loneliness.

“Alexandra is really enjoying putting her album together but doesn’t know many people in Los Angeles,” a source told The Sun.

“She’s finding the experience a little isolating so was relieved Sheniece agreed to travel over for a visit.”

The 20-year-old star last month met up with producers including Timbaland, Red One and Jay-Z. She is also reportedly in talks with Beyonce to record a duet.

The pair’s rendition of ‘Listen’ on The X Factor was voted the most memorable reality moment of the year at the Digital Spy 2009 Reality TV Awards in April.
